After public consultation, many improvements to British Columbia's highway laws !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! . Notably, some highway's speed limits have been adjusted, with three sections increased to 120 km/h.

Other highlights include clarification of what legally constitutes a winter tire*, and left-lane hogs who are impeding traffic can now be fined.

*Winter tires are required by law on many B.C. highways in the winter months, but the government and police had disagreed over whether or not a tire marked as "M+S" qualified as a winter tire.
